Sonneberg Child

Emily’s Heirlooms Presents: French Bébé Antique Reproduction doll, "The Sonneberg Child, known as a Belton style doll marked with 137 and 12.

This head was engraved in 2016 and completed for Emily’s own collection, however the doll stayed on a shelf waiting for a costume ever since. In May of 2025 I decided to dress her in fine Batiste undergarments for now.

Poured in Lady White porcelain and with many layers of China paint meticulously applied and firings in between each layer
She features palest skin tone and with eye shadow.

Finest Painting in the French style absolute perfection!

She wears earrings and matching necklace of Genuine Swarovski crystals in a pale aqua color.

This head features very finest solid glass French paperweight eyes by Hand Glass Craft of England in turquoise color. I made the eyes side-glancing as this was to be my own doll, however now that I am nearing 80 years old, I don’t know that I can manage to finish all the dolls I have here waiting for costumes.

This wig is human hair in a light auburn color.

The 12.5 inch French reproduction body is by Joyce’s Compo Bodies.

The undergarments are fine pure cotton Batiste and feature French laces and silk ribbon bows.

This doll stands 16.5 inches tall.
