Kestner Hilda

U.S. $499.99 All bisque 12.5 inch doll ready to dress

Emily Hart, Grandmaster of Dollmaking, is an artist working in porcelain to earn her living since 1990…. Thirty year anniversary in 2020

Presenting: All-bisque 12.5 inch “Hilda” toddler. Originally made by J.D. Kestner in Germany.

Head poured in “Lady White” fine porcelain with many layers of China paint meticulously applied and firings in between.

Body poured in “French Bisque” porcelain.

She isn’t that well painted, yet she does have a certain appeal… a very sweet look.

She features an open mouth with two tiny porcelain teeth.

This is a dome head, so the eyes had to be set in through the neck hole and believe me that is some feat!

The dome head is painted, but if you like, you can add a mohair or human hair wig over the paint.

These are newly purchased Hand Glass Craft French paperweight eyes. Solid glass hand-blown ovals with radial threading, these are some of the most costly eyes made in the World today.

This is one of the very first dolls I ever made…. Back in 1991, but she lay in pieces in a drawer for 29 years and today in 2020, I finally put eyes in her and put her together… so I am listing her as a “new” doll.

The body is jointed at shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips and knees. I strung her very tightly as the elastic will “relax” a bit. Therefore the legs could pull up at the hips if she is standing. She does sit very well…

Complete doll made by Emily Hart.

This doll is 12.5 inches tall (31 cm)

She will come as is undressed with no doll stand.
