Emily Hart, Grandmaster of Dollmaking Presenting: French Bébé Antique Reproduction doll, originally made by the Steiner Firm. This is known as a C-series Steiner and was made in the 1880's under the reign of Monsieur Bourgoin. These were the RAREST of the Steiner heads, and distinctive with large eyes and tiny rosebud mouth.

Poured in finest quality “Lady White” porcelain and with many layers of China paint meticulously applied and firings in between each layer

The skin tone is beautifully pale and with eye shadow & rosy cheeks.

She wears gorgeous earrings and matching necklace made with Genuine Swarovski crystals and Swarovski glass pearls.

This doll features very finest French Paperweight hand blown solid glass eyes in “Light Blue” color by Hand Glass Craft of England, the finest eyes available.

The wig is very fine extra-long with extensions New Zealand mohair in palest strawberry blonde color.

Extra Fine Painting completed in 2014 (this doll has been kept aside to be offered as a completed doll and it has taken this long to decide on what she would wear)… As always, no doll is actually finished until it is sold…

The lovely composition French Bebe body, handmade by Dick Grube features PORCELAIN Bru lower arms made by Emily. Please note handmade bodies may have slight imperfections.

Her costume consists of pure silk taffeta dress with matching bonnet.

This dress by Emily Hart is embellished with the most exquisite Genuine Antique laces. The Bodice lace is hand-embroidered so beautifully, it is hard to imagine how long it must have taken to make.

The skirt part in many layers of silk and Genuine Antique laces is an elaborate feature of this dress. The waist trim is handmade metallic Victorian reproduction of the highest quality. The back of the dress closes with finest high luster Vintage genuine Mother of Pearl buttons, each with a Genuine Swarovski Crystal in the center.

Back of the dress features lovely big bow of pure Rayon double-sided satin.

The dress is lined in same silk taffeta as the dress and with the Emily Hart woven label sewn in.

This bonnet and the dress flowers are by Mary Lambeth. (I had these put away for many years intending to make the matching dresses one day). I have several sets of these bonnets and flowers and eventually I will make the dresses for each bonnet… All are different.

The undergarments of bloomers and full petticoat, also by Emily Hart, are of finest 100% cotton Batiste fabric with exquisite Antique Reproduction French laces and pure silk ribbon bows with Mother of Pearl buttons at the back.

Socks are hand knitted and she wears silk French style shoes with leather soles.

This doll stands 21 inches tall & 23.5 inches including bonnet trim.
