Presenting.....Extremely Rare French Bebe Reproduction porcelain doll, marked 5 H

This extraordinary beauty remained a mystery for many years. But in 1989 The French doll Expert Francoise Theimer unveiled her history. Her creator was Aristiede Marcellin Halopeau. The Halopeau heads were introduced in the year 1882 and manufactured by the Frayon firm of Montreuil. These dolls were only produced until 1889 therefore very few of the Antique dolls can be found today.

Painted in June of 2011 This is a very fine doll

Poured in finest "Lady White" porcelain with many layers of China paint meticulously applied with up to 6 firings in between

Body is authentic reproduction paper maché composition with jointed wrists.

She wears the most beautiful ONE OF A KIND pure silk satin dress with silk chiffon front overlay, artistically adorned with fabulous Antique laces, very rare tiny flower and metallic trim, and the wonderful handmade silk flowers of Mary Lambeth. The matching bonnet features Vintage feathers and more flowers with a wonderful striped ribbon accent.

The undergarments are cotton bloomers and half slip.

Her socks are hand knitted silk/rayon and she wears matching shoes to the outfit.

This doll stands 14 inches ( 36 cm ) tall and 17 inches ( 43 cm ) including the bonnet.
