S&H 719SOLD Only one ever made of this incredible doll! Made for my own collection! Doll and costume by Emily Click on the image to enlarge
Emily Hart, Grandmaster of Dollmaking in 2019 celebrating 29 years in Dollmaking, presents:
Adorable smiling German Doll originally by Simon & Halbig, Germany, circa 1915 Authentic Antique Reproduction
Since 1990 Emily has been dedicated to making the finest in Authentic porcelain Reproduction dolls. It took seven years of study and many courses to earn her the coveted Grandmaster of Dollmaking title from the Doll Artisan Guild of New York. Emily has earned her place as a World Class Doll maker with her many Best of Show Rosettes and Canada's Top Trophy in the Professional Category for her French Ethnic Bébé.
WHAT DOES A DOLL LOOK LIKE THAT EMILY HART MADE ONLY FOR HERSELF AND NEVER MEANT TO BE SOLD…. WELL, HERE SHE IS!
I never had this mold… This is the only doll like this and there will never be another one. This is one of the only bodies I still have that I made completely by myself.
I started this doll and costume in 1997 and only finished her now in July of 2019. Why am I offering her now? I am nearly 74 years old and trying hard to finish up so many partly made dolls (over 200) I am unable to keep many dolls, & my only son is not interested in inheriting any dolls… so I will be offering many more as I finish them up. This one is particularly special to me.
-Originally made in Germany by Simon & Halbig and marked 719 this charming doll was made during the early 1900's
- This lovely doll has the following features:
-Extra Fine China painting, applied in up to 6 layers with firings in between
-She has an open mouth with four teeth, & felt tongue.
-She features finest Antique Reproduction German style solid glass eyes with amazing radial threading… These were the most costly of all the German eyes and no longer available today.
-Earrings are Vintage glass turquoise color beads.
-As with all Authentic reproductions her head was poured in finest white porcelain
-This wig of mohair is made in the German style with side-part & bunched to the side with a pure silk bow that matches her dress sash.
This doll is on a 14 inch fifteen-piece ball-jointed German Reproduction composition body completely made by Emily Hart, right from the pouring of the molds.
This costume, entirely made by Emily Hart, is a ONE OF A KIND, made from fine 100% cotton batiste fabric, Swiss Embroidered batiste, finest French Valenciennes laces, & completed with a pure silk ribbon sash. She has a lovely heart-shaped “brooch” made from a Vintage button.
Undergarments of bloomers and full petticoat are 100% cotton batiste fabric and trimmed with reproduction French Valenciennes laces & silk ribbons to match her dress.
The socks are hand knitted silk/rayon and shoes are fancy German Reproduction shoes in finest genuine leather….
The dress has Emily’s own woven label sewn into the batiste lining.
This doll stands 18 inches.
THIS IS A MOST OUTSTANDING DOLL AND COSTUME. |
