Emily Hart Heirlooms presents: Gorgeous Kestner Reproduction Oriental toddler boy doll marked JDK 243 The original doll was made by J. D. Kestner & Co. Waltershausen, Germany for many years from 1914 This doll features finest porcelain head with many layers of China paint fired on... Extra fine painting done in 2007... it took five years before the costume arrived in August of 2012 . This doll features an open mouth with two molded upper teeth. The date and Emily's signature are engraved on the back of this head. He features the ultimate in Authentic German ANTIQUE hollow blown glass eyes in dark brown color His wig is HUMAN HAIR and was custom made for this exact reproduction doll. This head is made from the Seeley mold called "Ching". This ONE OF A KIND costume is made with new silk, but older trims and very old genuine Antique Hand embroidered Oriental pieces added on to the new fabric costume. The hat is a work of art all by itself, put together by Mary Lambeth, this is one of the most interesting and unique collaborations between Emily and Mary. This doll is 15 inche to top of hat. |
