Emily Hart, Grandmaster of Dollmaking in 2025 CELEBRATING 35 YEARS IN DOLLMAKING.
Winner of over 50 International awards, Canada's Top Trophy and many Best of show Rosettes in International Competition
Presenting: French Bébé Antique Reproduction doll originally made the firm of Bru circa 1885 and marked Bru jne R
THIS DOLL WAS MADE FOR ME, EMILY HART. THAT IS WHY ENGRAVED INTO THE BACK OF HER HEAD IT SAYS “THIS DOLL IS FOR ME”
This head was painted in 2022
Poured in "Azure White" porcelain and with many layers of China paint meticulously applied and firings in between each layer.
The skin tone is very lovely and pale and with eye shadow
This doll features the very finest solid glass French Paperweight eyes in “Hazel” color by HAND GLASS CRAFT OF ENGLAND the absolute finest eyes available
I saved this wig for 20 years!!!!!
Her wig is the ultimate in Australian mohair with center part, extensions, and ringlet style. I could never get these wigs in this high luster mohair in this style again, so I kept a few aside for very special dolls and they are nearly all gone now.
She wears earrings and matching necklace of Genuine Swarovski crystals.
The body is French Bebe reproduction from Seeley’s. (old store stock). I made Bru porcelain arms to match this head.
Fabulous ONE OF A KIND outfit is made from pure silk taffeta in ecru color with genuine Antique laces overlay. The main lace overlay is extremely rare and near impossible to find these days.
This was the very first outfit I got from Mary Lambeth, and it is just one of my very favorites I got out of the many I bought from her for over 10 years when she dressed most of my dolls. Sadly, Mary has passed on and I miss our friendship so much.
Mary’s signature hand made flowers are particularly special on this costume.
Mary chose to contrast the Ecru lace dress with a blue silk velvet ruched bonnet adorned with the matching flowers to the dress. These beautiful treasures never to be created again.
Under garments are 100% cotton bloomers and half-petticoat that I added rayon lace to. She wears hand knitted silk/rayon socks with Genuine leather French style shoes from Italy.
This doll stands 23.5 inches tall and 26.5 inches including bonnet. I do not take returns so please write if you have any questions. |
