Emily Hart, Grandmaster of Dollmaking presents Adorable smiling German Doll originally by Simon & Halbig, Germany, circa 1915 Authentic Antique Reproduction Originally made in Germany by Simon & Halbig and marked 1248 this charming doll was made during the early 1900's and is commonly known as “SANTA” This lovely doll has the following features: Extra Fine China painting finally finished in October of 2012, applied in up to 6 layers with firings in between “Santa” has four porcelain teeth made separately and set in from inside, with felt tongue. She features finest Antique Reproduction paperweight eyes by Hand Glass Craft of England in "Light Brown" color... truly beautiful eyes with fabulous threading. Although these eyes are not the kind the original Antique doll would have had, I chose to use them for their beauty in this case. Earrings of the most exquisite Genuine Swarovski Crystals. As with all Authentic reproductions, her head was poured in white porcelain Fabulous Australian mohair wig with high luster, custom made for Emily Hart dolls, features center part, and soft curls in light golden blonde color This doll is on an eighteen inch fifteen-piece ball-jointed German Reproduction composition body by Seeley’s with the finger and toenails painted in red as the Antique dolls were done. This costume is a ONE OF A KIND dress made from the highest quality pure silk taffeta fabric with genuine Vintage trims of embroidered cotton organza and hand made tatting. She wears a lovely little Antique style brooch at the neck. The ruched sleeve design and lovely big bow in the back of the dress add elegant touches to this gorgeous dress. The undergarments are made with soft pure rayon fabric with lovely laces and satin ribbon trims and consist of bloomers, corset and full petticoat. The socks are hand knitted silk/rayon and shoes are fancy German Reproduction shoes in finest Genuine leather…. This doll stands just over 23 inches. Since 1990 Emily has been dedicated to making the finest in porcelain Reproduction dolls. It took seven years of study and many courses to earn her the coveted Grandmaster of Dollmaking title from the Doll Artisan Guild of New York.
