French Bebe Antique Reproduction doll, originally made by Emile-Louis Jumeau circa 1886 to 1889

Painted in January of 2015, with Flawless Painting, but only finished in 2022.

This doll is the best one of literally thousands of dolls I have painted in these 32 years of dollmaking full time. This is how I earn my living.

Poured in finest “Lady White” porcelain and with many layers of China paint meticulously applied and firings in between each layer.

Please note this head has APPLIED EARS, that is: they are made separately in another mold and added on in the leather-hard stage.

The skin tone is very lovely and pale and with eye shadow

She wears exquisite earrings and matching necklace of Genuine Swarovski Crystals in “Alexandrite” color.

This head features finest solid glass Authentic Jumeau style paperweight eyes by G.Schoepher with amazing spiral threading. These special eyes are no longer available to buy.

She features the finest quality Australian mohair wig, in natural platinum color with wispy bangs and soft curls.

Her body is a reproduction Jumeau body hand made by Jim Vickerman and painted in latex paint.

She wears an exquisite costume of pure silk Charmeuse, with hand-made silk flowers and embellished with incredible Genuine Antique laces, including hand-crochet Irish lace. The lovely sleeves feature gathering and lace trim. Her bonnet is marvelous, with Genuine Ostrich feather trim. This is one of the finest costumes from Mary Lambeth, but completely altered by Emily Hart.

The undergarments are 100% cotton trimmed in Antique laces and consist of bloomers and half petticoat.

Her socks of silk/rayon are hand-knitted and shoes are matching silk to the dress, with leather soles.

This doll stands 21.5 inches (55 cm) and 24.5 inches (62 cm) to the top of the bonnet.
