Extra Fine Painting
This doll has been in my own personal collection for several years, but now I am starting to list my own dolls for sale as I am now 78 years old, it’s just time to let go of too many dolls.
The body is French Bebe reproduction composition. Please note, hand made bodies may have slight imperfections.
She wears a very unique costume that is a collaboration of Emily Hart & Mary Lambeth. This doll is dressed as a “Jester” in silk fabric embellished with many different very rare Antique metallic trims as well as the Antique bullion fringes. The shoes are unique with their turned-up toes…
I wanted some colorful additions to the costume, so I made the floral appliques from hand-dyed rayon ribbons, glass beads and Vintage lacquered leaves. The flowers alone took days to make. I added matching rosettes to the shoes.
This is a very fine doll and costume.
Mary Lambeth passed to spirit in September of 2022, she left a legacy of the most wonderful Antique reproduction doll clothing that no one has ever managed to surpass in my opinion. It was a great honor to work with her dressing my dolls for many years.
This doll is 20 inches tall and 23 inches including the hat brim.
