Paris BebeU.S. $3995.00 Fabulous finished 25 inch doll in very special Mary Lambeth costume with fine jewelry. Click on the image to enlarge
Emily Hart, Grandmaster of Dollmaking, winner of over 50 International awards, Canada's Top Trophy, and many Best of show Rosettes in International Competition in 2024 celebrates 34 years in Dollmaking.
Presenting: French Bébé Antique Reproduction doll originally made by Emile-Louis Jumeau circa 1886 to 1889
This head was painted in July of 2022
Poured in Bell’s “Azure White” porcelain and with many layers of China paint meticulously applied and firings in between each layer The skin tone is a lovely ultra pale. Finest Painting
She wears earrings and matching necklace of genuine Swarovski crystals and Swarovski crème Pearls. Her bracelet is Genuine Swarovski crystals.
This doll features the very finest French Paperweight hand blown solid glass eyes from G. Schoefer. These are genuine Jumeau reproduction eyes.
She features fine quality extra long Australian Mohair wig, in rich brown color with center part, bangs and soft curls.... Custom made for Emily Hart dolls.
Her body is Authentic Jumeau style French Bebe composition hand made and painted in latex paint.
This costume was in Mary Lambeth’s own private collection, but I was able to buy it from her before her passing in 2023, So the costume could possibly be termed “vintage” as I am not sure when it was made. The fabrics are silk and you can see by the photos that the color is lighter (faded) in the back and darker in the front of the dress. She wears a most unusual hat that is an Antique but decorated by Mary with Antique laces and her signature hand made ribbon flowers and a lovely golden-tone Ostrich feather.
The undergarments are bloomers and half petticoat of pure cotton and lace.
Her socks are hand-knitted of silk/rayon and shoes are silk matching her dress with leather soles.
She stands 25 inches and measures 26.5 inches to top of her hat.
THIS DOLL IS FROM EMILY HART’S PERSONAL COLLECTION. |
