Bru jne 8U.S. $2995.00 Very fine doll in Exceptional Mary Lambeth costume. Click on the image to enlarge
Emily Hart, Grandmaster of Dollmaking now celebrates 32 years in Dollmaking.
Emily is the winner of over 50 International awards, Canada's Top Trophy and many Best of show Rosettes in International Competition
Presenting: From Emily’s personal collection… sold as is… Vintage Private Collection
French Bébé Bru jne 8 Antique Reproduction doll originally made the firm of Bru circa 1885
This head was painted in 2011
Poured in "Lady White" porcelain with many layers of China paint meticulously applied and firings in between each layer The skin tone is ultra pale with eye shadow
She wears earrings of Genuine Freshwater pearls.
This doll features very finest French Paperweight hand blown solid glass eyes in “Hazel” color by Hand Glass Craft of England. I prefer to call this color Amber.
Her very fine lustre skin wig was made by Emily
The body is a Jim Vickerman body painted with latex but could have some hairlines… sold as is… The authentic Bru lower arms are porcelain made to match her head. This most outstanding Mary Lambeth costume is my favorite of all the hundreds of costumes I ever had from Mary. It is made from three different pure silk fabrics and embellished with very fine genuine Antique laces that are very hard to come by. Mary’s signature handmade flowers float across the bonnet brim and dress front. It is indeed rare to find a doll of this quality for sale these days. She wears bloomers and half slip in 100% cotton. Socks are hand knitted silk/rayon and shoes are French style in matching silk to the dress. |
