Adorable smiling German Doll originally by Simon & Halbig, Germany, circa 1915 Authentic Antique Reproduction

Since 1990 Emily has been dedicated to making the finest in Authentic porcelain Reproduction dolls. It took seven years of study and many courses to earn her the coveted Grandmaster of Dollmaking title from the Doll Artisan Guild of New York. Emily has earned her place as a World Class Doll maker with her many Best of Show Rosettes and Canada's Top Trophy in the Professional Category for her French Ethnic Bébé.

-Originally made in Germany by Simon & Halbig and marked 1279 this charming doll was made during the early 1900's

- This lovely doll has the following features:

-Extra Fine China painting done in 2022, applied in up to 6 layers with firings in between

-“Fredricka” has four porcelain teeth, with felt tongue. Her name came from the Byron mold.

-She features finest Antique Reproduction paperweight eyes by Hand Glass Craft of England in "Dark Blue" color... truly beautiful eyes with fabulous threading. Although these eyes are not the kind the Antique doll would have had, I chose to use them for their beauty in this case.

-Necklace of the most exquisite Genuine Swarovski Crystals with a pearl in the center front.

-As with all Authentic reproductions her head was poured in finest white porcelain

-This wig in finest Australian Mohair was custom made for Emily Hart dolls in a rich brown color with bangs and soft curls. (If you see a tiny hair on the face is is because I cut the bangs.)

This doll is on an eighteen-inch fifteen-piece ball-jointed German Reproduction composition body by Seeley’s, with hand-painted red outlines as the German dolls had.

I made her dress from fine Dupioni silk in light blue color. This dress features row after row of precious Genuine Antique laces on the sleeves, and more on the bodice front and back. The skirt part has both Reproduction, very fine quality embroidered tulle lace made in France, and more Antique lace. Dainty Rococo silk trim embellishes the hat, and dress in a lovely pink. The bodice is lined with same silk fabric. The dress bears Emily’s own woven label inside. Her hat is a classic Mop-cap style.

Her undergarments of bloomers and full petticoat that are 100% cotton batiste fabric and trimmed with cotton French laces and pure silk ribbon bows.

Petticoat has Emily’s own woven label sewn inside.

The socks are hand knitted silk/rayon and shoes are fancy German Reproduction shoes in finest genuine leather….

This doll stands 23 inches and 24.5 to top of hat.
