Emily Hart, Grandmaster of Dollmaking, winner of over 50 International awards, Canada's Top Trophy, and many Best of show Rosettes in International Competition in 2021 celebrates 31 years in Dollmaking.
Presenting: French Bébé Antique Reproduction doll originally made the firm of Bru circa 1885
This head was painted in September of 2021
Poured in “Lady White” porcelain and with many layers of China paint meticulously applied and firings in between each layer The skin tone is a lovely ultra pale.
She wears gorgeous deluxe earrings and matching necklace of genuine Swarovski creme pearls and Swarovski crystals.
This head features the very finest French Paperweight hand blown solid glass eyes by Hand Glass Craft of England in “Turquoise” color.
She features the very finest quality New Zealand Mohair wig, in Ash Blonde color with center part and soft curls.... Custom made for Emily Hart dolls.
This head is on a 22 inch Reproduction French composition body hand made by Jim Vickerman. Please note: handmade bodies can have some slight imperfections.
She wears a very beautiful costume of dress and matching bonnet. The fabric is silk charmeuse with an overlay at the front of Antique laces embellished with silk ribbon flowers hand made by Mary Lambeth (now deceased). As this dress was a bit on the short side, I found some genuine Antique lace in a very close match to the other laces on the dress and added one row to the front and two rows to the back of this dress to add length.
As the dress did not come with under garments, I had to draft up a pattern to fit this chubby style French body. I chose Vintage cotton and some Antique laces as well as some Reproduction laces to make the bloomers and full petticoat to go under this dress. I added some pink pure silk ribbon bows to the petticoat and the bloomers.
She wears hand-knitted silk/rayon socks and silk shoes in the French style with leather soles made to match the dress and bonnet.
This doll is 26.5 inches tall and 30.5 inches to the top of the bonnet bow.
She is a very heavy large doll. I send by Canada Post with a tracking number. |
