Hello everyone...

Thank you for your continued patronage and patience in this time when I have little to offer for sale... I finally got my new shipment of porcelain slip, and yes, it is the wonderful "Magnolia White" Ultra Chic porcelain that I find so appealing. I have done a pouring of 15 new heads this week, but will be continuing to pour until I get a good stock of heads to work with... So those of you who have been waiting for your orders... they are in the works now. In the coming months I hope to be offering heads you have not seen for some time... If you want to order heads, now is the time to do it, in many cases there are only one or two heads made each year, and as most of you know, the time I will be able to make dolls is limited.

My wigmaker is working hard to create some new wig styles and colors... the new "Mindy" wig is going to be spectacular. I have made large orders of wigs and Hand Glass paperweight eyes, so they are being made now. There will be one new color of eyes, and that is pale blue, an even lighter blue than the light blue. Hand Glass eye colors I am stocking are Hazel, light brown, olive green, turquoise, mauve, pale blue, light blue, blue/grey, French Navy, and a very few of the dark blue that are gorgeous but have not photographed well, and therefore they have not sold well since all my dolls and heads are sold by photos.. In the case of blue eyes they often appear brighter in photos than they look when you see them in front of you. I decided not to order grey eyes even though they are very historically correct for Bru dolls especially, I found they just did not sell very well.

I have added to the "Dolls for Sale" Gallery today, some of the dolls I consider to be my very best. As much as I want to keep them all, new dolls are coming up and I am practicing "non-attachment" so... these are now priced to sell and this is your opportunity to buy the best of the best at very affordable prices... all dolls are ONE OF A KIND.

The ONE OF A KIND silk shantung (in most cases) dresses with Vintage Tambour net overlay and fantastic under garments, with corsets, have been very well received and many are sold now, however a few remain and more will be offered in the comming months. Also smaller sizes are being made, so those of you who like to buy your heads and add your own bodies, I am working on acquiring more outfits to sell also.

Mary Lambeth costumes are always in high demand, and these also I continue to buy as many as possible, though there are few available as Mary is very limited in how many and how fast she can produce them.

Although Lady dolls are rarely offered, I do have quite a few molds for Lady dolls, such as the Smiling Bru Lady, Gaultier Lady, and Lady Margaret, as well a several parians, and I am going to pour a few of them.

Also Mechanical head and arm sets for the 14 inch Seeley mechanical bodies can be ordered for the H-doll, Long Face Jumeau, and Phenix bebe.

New doll Jullien Bebe will be offered soon, she goes on a 13 inch body to make up to be a 17 inch doll.

Please give me feedback on any suggestions you may have.

Warmest Regards, Emily Hart

Hello everyone... Thank you all for your continued support of my work this year so far.

I have had a few people write recently asking questions but cannot answer them because they have not filled in their email address correctly... If you don't do that properly on the contact form there is no way for me to write back to you.

This is my retirement year and I am counting the months now until October when it becomes official, and I can collect my Old Age Security Pension... Then perhaps I can relax a bit and just "play dolls" and do what I want instead of what I think everyone wants to buy. I will continue to create in a more limited way in future, and some new things will be offered but not as many as I have been offering in the past years. My Doctor has been telling me for years to stop this work as I have disc degeneration and must not be lifting the heavy molds much more now.

I have been waiting and waiting for a shipment of porcelain to work with and still want to do a big pouring and make a few more of some of the best faces... At this point I no longer do custom order dolls, but I will make a note of what you might want and if I have it in future I will let you know. Most of the heads I painted this year in February have been sold, so this was quite a surprise for me. Many of them were only listed for a few hours and they sold.

My wigmaker and I have been working hard together to create a new and very beautiful wig style... the "Mindy" wig will be a showstopper and also we are working to create new and better colors for the wonderful mohair wigs she makes for me. There will also be boy wigs made now and some changes to the "Emily" wig that has had too much hair in the bangs...

I will start doing some sewing again and do the kind of costumes that take three weeks each to make... these are called "competition quality" and are meticulously made with much hand stitching with invisible stitches and often beadwork or silk ribbon work... Few of these have been shown for sale since I began buying my costumes from Mary Lambeth and Sue Laurent. I have made my concentration on the porcelain work and not my own sewing that is more like the Genuine Antique clothing was made.

I also look forward to learning the complicated ribbonwork flowers that I have had a book on how to make for years, but never the time to focus on learning this interesting craft. I have been slowly searching out sources and buying as I have found them and now have a significant stock of wonderful ribbons, Vintage stamens, Vintage laquered leaves, and velvet leaves to work with....It is time for me to enjoy life now and just "play" at my creativity instead of working long hours just to make ends meet.

I think retirement is going to be a lot of fun for me... Finally I will be able to relax and let the real Masterpieces flow out of me...

I am not quite gone yet... Sending love to you all... Emily
