Presenting:

Extremely Rare French Bébé Reproduction porcelain doll marked 5 H

This extraordinary beauty remained a mystery for many years. But in 1989 The French doll Expert Francois Theimer unveiled her history. Her creator was Aristide Marcellin Halopeau.

The Halopeau heads were introduced in the year 1882 and manufactured by the Frayon firm of Montreuil. These dolls were only produced until 1889 therefore very few of the Antique dolls can be found today.

Painted in 2017 this head has been kept aside for a couple of years & now offered as a finished doll.

Poured in finest Seeley’s “Lady White" porcelain with many layers of China paint meticulously applied with up to 6 firings in between

Very fine Authentic Reproduction French Paperweight hand-blown solid glass eyes by Hand Glass Craft of England in light blue color.

Her earrings and matching double layer necklace are made of Genuine Swarovski crystals and Genuine Swarovski glass pearls.

This doll features a superb quality New Zealand mohair wig in Honey Blonde with center part, bangs and soft curls. ( Please note, the close up photos are showing the best hair color… I photograph in natural daylight, but it was raining today… so the close ups came out better.

Her body is an authentic French style composition hand made by Dick Grube with AT style lower arms. (PLEASE NOTE the body has been in my shop for a few years so I have discounted this doll to reflect a few little imperfections in the body.)

This amazing ONE OF A KIND outfit is one of the last of Mary Lambeth’s incredible creations. The dress and bonnet are made with pure silk taffeta that has been hand-dyed to a soft silvery blue colour. The dress front and bonnet frill are vintage chiffon. The gorgeous collar on the dress is from an Antique garment. The genuine Antique lace on the sleeves is very rare “spider-web” design.

Undergarments are 100 % cotton bloomers and half petticoat.

Socks are silk/rayon hand-knitted and shoes are made in the French style of silk taffeta.

The finished doll stands 21 inches and 23 inches with the bonnet on.
